Man admits conspiring to cheat Microsoft of S$192,900 worth of laptops in FBI-flagged case

SINGAPORE – A Singaporean teenager conspired with an American man to commit fraud against Microsoft by making false warranty claims in order to obtain 56 laptops worth US$143,144 (S$192,900).

The accused, now 20, claimed that the laptops were sold off and that he used the proceeds to buy Bitcoin but “lost everything” after the price of Bitcoin plummeted in 2018.

'I know your dirty little secret': NUS graduate steals sex toy from woman's hostel room

SINGAPORE – A National University of Singapore (NUS) graduate, who returned to his alma mater in January 2019, trespassed into a female student’s hostel room and stole her sex toy as he felt aroused when he saw it.

Products specialist Chua Chang Rong, now 27, trespassed into the woman’s room again on July 18 that year and returned it.

Driver who knocked down PMD rider fined $2,500, disqualified from driving for 11 months

SINGAPORE – A man was fined $2,500 on Tuesday (May 4) after pleading guilty to knocking down a personal mobility device (PMD) rider with his car.

Simon Chua Heng Huat, 52, was also disqualified from driving for 11 months.
